This is the first post of my ‘How To’ series. This series is the way to start a business in simple steps. Episode 1- Picking a business name and domain.
The name of your business is really important, it’s the thing that people remember to find your site again. the name should be short catchy and relevant to the topic your site is about, after all you don’t want a lipstick shop called billy’s cycles. Try include a keyword that is relevant to the topic thn add an adjective or name infront or behind the noun. It sound pretty simple but in reality it’s not. This name will become your main source for branding, advertising and it should be your domain.
Your domain will be your business name with an extension at the end. The best extensions to use are .com and .co.uk. Your domain name will be the way people will remember your site so they can visit it again, this is why it should be a business name. Your domain name is important but not as important as your business name, even though they are almost the same thing.
