Online there is a lot of ‘get rich quick’ schemes, but most of the time they don’t work or they cost money. Both of those problems are impractical, especially if you are a teen. You have homework to balance, and to get the money to do the scheme you have to do the scheme that you can’t afford. However there is a free way to make money, for any age with little talent needed.
*Disclaimer, this is not a get rich quick scheme, this is just a way to bring in side income*
The website is called Fiverr. Fiverr is a website where people sell their skills. This could be anything from graphic design to voice-over, keep reading for a list of ideas. Selling your skill is called a gig, you can have up to 7 gigs at a time. I recommend that you make sure your gigs all link together slightly, so it doesn’t look like you are just listing popular gigs.
How Does It Work?
You sell a service/gig. If someone buys it you have a deadline time you must complete it by. You do whatever you have sold and then forward or send it to the buyer. If they want they can review your service. The more reviews the more likely you are going to get orders.
How To Choose What Gigs You Want To Do
I recommend spending at least 10 minutes looking at other gigs and popular/trending gigs. These are the gigs that get lots of orders meaning they make a lot of money. As I am writing this the popular gigs are, voice over, graphic/logo design, book/album cover design and proofreading. Don’t do something just because it is popular, do something you can do or you are good at.
Pricing.
What prices should you sell your gigs for? To high and no one will buy them, to low and people will think it will not be quality. The lowest price you can sell your gigs for is £5/$5 hence the name, I am not aware what the highest price limit is or if there is one. You can sell your gigs with 3 packages- basic, standard and premium. The price for your basic package is recommended to be £5/$5, standard could be anything between £10 – £50 and premium could be £50 – £300. Pricing depends on your gig, voice over will be a lot cheaper than proof reading a book because proof reading requires a lot more skill.
